1. Install the app and sign in
Download Keeper Password Manager via the Google Play Store.
Open the app and sign in with your account.
2. Set up security
Enable Biometric login (fingerprint or facial recognition) for faster unlocking.
3. Enable KeeperFill (Autofill)
Android 8.0 and higher supports KeeperFill for automatic filling of logins and passwords in apps and browsers.
Go to Menu > Settings > KeeperFill and turn it on.
Follow the on-screen instructions to:
Select Keeper as autofill service
Enable KeeperFill in installed services
Activate Keeper in the virtual keyboard
Allow display over other apps
Tip: Disable other password managers to avoid conflicts.
4. Add records
Open Keeper and tap + > Record.
Choose the record type (e.g. Login).
Fill in: username, password (use the generator if desired), website.
- Optionally add notes, custom fields or files.
- Tap the checkmark to save.
5. Folders and organization
Create folders: + > Folder, give a name and save.
Add existing or new records to folders for clarity.
For collaboration: create Shared Folders via + > More > Shared Folder.
Set permissions per user: view, edit or manage.
6. Import passwords
Open Menu > Settings > Import.
Supported import methods:
CSV file
Browser passwords (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
Other password managers
After importing, check if everything has been transferred correctly.
7. Use Autofill
Open an app or website and tap Sign in to Keeper.
KeeperFill shows a dropdown with matching records.
Tap Yes to autofill.
For Android 7.0 and older: use the KeeperFill keyboard and tap the Keeper icon to fill logins.
8. New records with KeeperFill
If there is no match, tap + > Create New Record (Android 8+) or tap Yes on older versions.
Enter the details and save.
9. Add Two-Factor Codes
Open a record, tap the pencil icon > Two-Factor Code.
Scan the QR code with your camera to add a 2FA code to the record.
KeeperFill will automatically fill in this code on the next login (Android 8+).
10. Share records
Open a record and tap Share.
Add the recipient's email address.
Choose permissions: view or edit.
For multiple users: use Shared Folders and manage permissions per user.
11. Extra features
Mark favorites for quick access.
View history of changes.
Delete or archive old records.
Securely add files or photos to your records.
