This article explains how to reset the password of your Microsoft 365 work or school account if you have forgotten it or can no longer sign in.
Reset Your Password
- Open the Microsoft password recovery page:
- Enter the email address of your work or school account.
- Follow Microsoft’s instructions to verify your identity.
- Choose a new password when prompted.
- Then sign in again with your new password.
Outcome: if Self-Service Password Reset is available for your account and your identity can be successfully verified, you can set a new password yourself.
