Which apps are installed?
Which applications are available depends on your operating system and Microsoft 365 licence.
Common Microsoft 365 apps include:
- Word;
- Excel;
- PowerPoint;
- Outlook;
- OneNote.
32-bit or 64-bit?
On Windows, Microsoft now installs the 64-bit version of Microsoft 365 by default.
If there is already a 32-bit version of Microsoft 365, Project, or Visio on your computer, Microsoft may install the 32-bit version instead.
On how many devices can you install Microsoft 365?
With the usual user licences for Microsoft 365 Apps, one user can install and activate the apps on up to:
- 5 PCs or Macs;
- 5 tablets;
- 5 smartphones.
You must sign in on the devices with the same licensed work or school account.
Do you not see the Install apps button?
One of the following situations may apply:
- your Microsoft 365 licence does not include desktop apps;
- your licence has not yet been correctly assigned to your account;
- your organisation does not allow users to install Microsoft 365 themselves;
- you are signed in with the wrong Microsoft account.
