1. Unlink your OneDrive account on Mac to resolve synchronization issues
- Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the menu bar, click Help and Settings to open the menu, and select Preferences.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Select Unlink this Mac.
2. Clear cached OneDrive sign-in credentials on Mac
- Type 'keychain' in Spotlight search and select Keychain Access. If this is not visible in Spotlight, go to the Utilities folder and open Keychain Access there.
- Search for 'OneDrive'.
- Delete the cached OneDrive credentials.
3. Sign in again to relink your OneDrive account on Mac
- Use Spotlight to search for OneDrive and open it.
- When you sign in, OneDrive will inform you that a folder already exists: select Use this folder.
- OneDrive will now synchronise your files and folders back to your computer. OneDrive does not download all your files (only placeholders to save space, more information), but this will take some time.
- Once your files have resynchronised, you can clean up the Computer folder view and choose which folders to synchronise with your computer.
